Welcome to SMTS and thank you for visiting our new website. Many of you will be loyal customers, some may be just starting your collection or generally enquiring about model making. We wish to introduce you all to Scale Model Technical Services.

Founded in 1983, SMTS is today based in the historic town of Hastings on the south coast of England. We employ a team of dedicated craftsmen and women, many of whom have a lifelong passion for model making, cars and motorsport.

SMTS Models are handbuilt to the internationally recognised collectors 1:43 scale and are 10 to 12.5cms long. Our range includes larger 1:24 scale examples and we shall be launching 1:12 scale models in the near future.

Models are made from high quality whitemetal and, where appropriate, resin and feature rubber tyres, plated and finely detailed photo-etched parts and are complete with decals. All our models are available in kit form, each containing between 40 to 70 parts for you to paint and assemble.

The ever expanding SMTS range now numbers over 210 different examples of collectors model cars. All are listed on our new website 'catalogue' pages, grouped by marque or type, together with a current price list for handbuilt models and kits.

An important part of the production at SMTS is the varied commission work we undertake for other model companies and for the Automobile Industry. Amongst the product launch and presentation models, we have made Aeroplanes, Boats, Trains, Motorcycles and Military Vehicles, Railway accessories and figures. In fact, product runs of 10-1000 units are manufactured here at SMTS.
